Daura 80th Birthday: Facebook/Twitter takes video down on Farooq Kperogi’s page

Professor Farooq Kperogi, one of the most popular critics of the President Buhari administration, posted that Buhari/Daura have convinced Facebook and Twitter to take down video of Mamman Daura’s 80th birthday in London. The video sparked outrage in some section of the social media with some Nigerians accusing Buhari’s family of being insensitive to the plight of Nigeria with their ostentatious display of Daura 80th birthday in London.

Critics of the government use it as an opportunity to lambast the government and accuse the government that rode to power under the promise of modesty and anti-corruption that they are no different from previous administration.

Professor Kperogi earlier posted that one of the member of the Buhari family had inboxed him threatening him. The man accused Professor Kperogi of doing the wrong thing and that he would charge him to court in both Nigeria and in the United States because the video was not right as it exposes the family of the president, some of which are minor.

But it is obviously someone among the family that released the video that went viral on social media.

The video is still all over the social media. Below is Professor Kperogi’s write up.

But scores of people have also shared it these platforms. Are they taking the video down from the timelines of everyone who shared it? Or am I the only one they’re worried about?

Will the Buhari/Mamman Daura people also persuade YouTube and WhatsApp to take down the video? They haven’t realized that by this action they’ve made the video even more popular. The forbidden fruit, they say, tastes the sweetest.

These Buhari/Mamman Daura folks obviously have the IQ of their shoe sizes. Hundreds of thousands, possibly millions, of people have already seen, shared, and downloaded video. Only imbeciles lock the barn door after the horse has bolted.
