‘Alliances By APGA Guber Aspirant Altering Anambra Political Permutations’

Ahead of the Anambra State gubernatorial poll slated for November 6, the political space in the state is receiving quakes from various quarters as High Chief Sullivan Akachukwu Nwankpo continues to seal alliances with political, opinion, religious and community leaders across the state to bolster his gubernatorial ambition.

Reliable sources said the aspirant is recording unprecedented milestone due to his unblemished political profile, extensive grassroots support, philanthropy and networking ability, leading to a somewhat unsettling ambience amongst contenders across party lines.

According to one of the sources, “Nwankpo is one of the few politicians without any political baggage. This is the reality that sets him apart from the rest. “The gentleman is renowned for executing all his briefs without blemish. He worked meritoriously with former Presidents Yar’Adua and Jonathan, and initiated or supervised so many lifechanging programmes and policies without anybody associating his name with anything untoward.”

It was gathered that this is the reason why his presence in the governorship race is unsettling his fellow contenders, not just in APGA, but in PDP, APC, YPP, and others. According to the head of the campaign Publicity Committee, Dr. Harris Chuma-Odili, in a telephone interview, confirmed that several support groups have endorsed the aspiration of High Chief Nwankpo.
