By George Onmonya Daniel

He is known as Ken. Mr. Thaddeus Kennedy Idama is one of Nigerian’s biggest football agent today who has taken more than 16 young Nigerian footballers to Europe to start their careers in football clubs across Europe in the past three years.

Ken’s search for talent has taken him all over Nigeria, looking for that special kid, that genius, that will one day conquer Europe. In a brief chat with NEWISSUES Magazine, Ken said, “they are so many talents in Nigeria, young people who need to be playing in some of the best leagues across Europe, but most of them never get the opportunity. What my agency does is go find some of these special, in fact very spacial talent, and make their dreams come true.

“Most European clubs want them young, very young, so that they can put them through the rudiments before they hit the big stage.  With advance in carbon dating technology, it means that we have to actually go searching for youngsters”

Mr. Ken targets young men from the ages of 16 to 19, even 20 and 21, but the idea has been getting them young.

Ken who spoke to NEWISSUES from Belgium said he is in Belgium to see how he can negotiate a deal for some of his boys.
