A young man, Mr. Olu Sam, is calling on Senator Abba Moro to come to the aid of his people and save the primary school he graduated from, a pilot primary school built during the military era, the only school in Oye Idele community with about 4000 population in Oju local government of Benue State.
He said the school has collapsed and the government has abandoned the 300 to 400 pupils who are receiving lesson from only three teachers.
Mr. Olu Sam said the last structure standing in the school was built twenty years ago by a Good Samaritan who he named as Chief John Agwo, but all the structures built by government have collapsed except the one built by Chief Agwo but the wind storm has blown off the roof.
He said the community couldn’t do much because they lack the financial strength due to incessant Fulani herdsmen attacks that has stopped them from going to their farms which is the major occupation of the people.
He said his community have cried out over the years but no one listens to them. He said they have no electricity, no road, no drinkable water and the only he was proud of as a child was the school that has collapsed today. He said the primary school was once the center of education in Igede land but no more.
Locally in one of the most neglected zone in Nigeria, Oju local government is in Zone C senatorial district where Senator Abba Moro is the Senator representing his people.

If they are still good people in Nigeria,it time for action,,pls save my people…This is the primary school I graduated from,a pilot primary school built during the mliltary regime. The only School in Oye Idele,,a community with population of about 4000 people. The school has collapsed, the state Government has abandoned my people,300 to 400 pupils are in this school receiving lesson from only three (3) teachers…
The last structure standing in this school was built 20 years ago By A good Samaritan in person of late, Chief, John Agwo..all others built by the government have collapsed except the one built by late Cheif John Agwo, and was blown off by wind storm and is been renovated and still on renovation by the community..The community hand is dried up they have no more financial strength for renovation due to constant attack from Fulani herdsmen which prevent them from going to farm which is their only source of income and livelyhood..the pupils now study under rain/sun in some instances..
