President Buhari, Presidency, mute over Jos massacre

President Muhammadu Buhari and his spokesman Mallam Garba Shehu have looked the other way over the massacre in Jos where about 35 people were murdered by suspected Fulani bandits.

JOS, the capital of Plateau State, woke up this morning with the news of the killing of 35 people in Yelwan Zangam community just behind the University of Jos.

Protesters drove corpses to government house.

Angry residents this afternoon took some of the corpses to the Government House in a very tense atmosphere driving through Jos city.

Some of the residents of Jos are asking the governor to resign.

The Plateau State government have placed 24 hours in Jos North and South and 6am to 6pm curfew around the city.

Meanwhile President Muhammadu Buhari who was quick to condemn the kiliing of 27 Fulani travellers in Jos recently has not issued any statement, likewise the spokesman to the president, Mallam Garba Shehu.

Mallam Garba Shehu has responded to Governor Ortom of Benue State over an interview he granted on Channels Television in which many Nigerians have sided with Mr. Ortom that he said the mind of most people in the Middle Belt and the South.
