Plateau Massacre: We can no longer wait for government to protect us -Hon. Bagos

Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos, Federal House of Representatives from Jos South/Jos East federal constituency of Plateau State in the 9th National Assembly has finally spoken after the killing of 35 people in Jos yesterday.

Hon. Bagos in a short video made with a mobile phone or an Ipad which is being circulated on WhatsApp said the people must defend themselves as self defense is enshrined in the Nigerian constitution.

Hon. Bagos further stated that the people can no longer wait for government. Mr. Bagos calls Plateau people and Plateau youths to unite against the evil that is trying to destroy them.

“We can no longer wait on government to protect us, but lets rise to protect ourselves according to the law. We have the law on our side, its self defense, second 30 sub-second 1 of the Nigerian constitution that says every citizen has a right to life.” Hon. Bogos said.

Bogos reiterated that it is time for the people to watch out and defend themselves through the vigilantees, community police and whatever means.

NEWISSUES magazine contacted Hon. Bagos in the mornimg after the barbaric carnage but he did not respond.

The president and the presidency have not issued any statement concerning the massacre in Jos.
