Angry Buhari supporters, others, attack bashir ahmed over fake photo of Mambilla project

Angry supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari who have been disappointed over the unraveling of lies told Bashir Ahmed, one of the Online Media Aide of President Buhari, on the Mambila Project, have attacked him calling him names over his attempt to respond to the fake news he carried in 2018.

Bashir Ahmed had shown photo of the Mambilla Project which has been confirmed to be a fake picture as BBC Hausa reporter went to the Mambilla Project and found out there was nothing on ground. Many Nigerians have been labeling the administration a fraud.

Bashir Ahmed’s Response on Mambila

I spent most part of my last two days on transit, that was why I didn’t comment on the recent BBC Hausa documentary on the Mambilla Hydropower Project, when I reached my destination and ready to break my silence then I found out Mallam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity already commented on the trending topic, and what he said was exactly what happened, his response was enough, so I am not going to add anything.

I understand we are all concerned about the project especially because of its important to our social and economic development.

President Muhammadu Buhari and his government will never abandon a project with such important to the Nigerian people without a reason. When I spoke to him about the issue, the newly appointed Minister of Power, Engr. Abubakar D. Aliyu told me that he would do whatever possible to see all the issues surrounding the project are sorted out for the benefit of Nigeria and the people.

This response did not go down well with many Buhari supporters who feel he has disgraced the administration. They are asking how he got the image he posted as the project site in 2018.

Journalist Jaafar Jaafar who Bashir Ahmed visited a couple of months ago in London refers to the president as HushBaba over fraudster Hushpuppi who is facing trial in the US for fraud. Jaafar listed other projects the administration had bragged about in which nothing has been done about them.

Nigerians unison are calling Bashir Ahmed a fraud. The most angry of this category of angry people online are Buhari’s supporters.
