One of the popular faces at Bring Back Our Girls gathering in Unity Fountain Abuja, Mr. Manasseh Allen, a graduate of University of Maiduguri and native of Chibok, where over 276 girls were kidnapped by Boko Haram in 2014, has slammed Borno State leaders over their complain and criticism of NGOs in the state. Mr. Allen wrote on Facebook:
Dear fake leaders,
These were the type of food and how you serve the IDPs with shovels before “SO CALLED NGOS” came in and asked you to treat your poor people with dignity
UNICEP, MSF, IOM, UNDP, UNFPA, MRS, NRC, MS, AAH, STC, ICRC, and many others supported.
Go for the bad eggs amongst them and stop blanket labelling of people who have served and saved your people while you run away to Abuja, Dubai, and hiding in GRA Maiduguri
Shame on hypocrites who have no empathy and fake of God, but can lie for greed and selfishness.
Recently both the federal government, state government and the military have complained about certain activities of NGOs in the state, with government accusing some of them of feeding Boko Haram or sabotaging the war on terror by reporting human rights abuses against the government.
