Nigerians are greeted with good news today as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) extends the collection of new Naira notes from 31st January to 10th Febuary, 2023. Just yesterday, the Governor of the CBN and President Muhammadu Buhari had insisted there was no going back on 31st January 2023 date. The National Assembly that wadded into the debate could get the President to change his mind.
Nigerians went on social media to expressed their outrage, these complains were more from President Buhari’s stronghold. People hurled insult at the president and started up campaigns that the All Progressives Congress (APC) should be voted out as revenge.
The APC presidential candidate, Ahmed Tinubu also accused the presidency of sabotage over the outrage and fuel scarcity at this time.
