Governor Abdullahi Ganduje wins the supplementary election amidst protest as he was declared winner by INEC as the overall winner of the gubernatorial election held Kano State. The election was marred by violence and a lot of voters were disenfranchised. Governor Ganduje leads his opponent of the PDP, Mr. Kabir Yusuf with 8982 votes.
Governor Gqanduje has the overall votes of 1,033,695 when Mr. Kabir Yusuf of the PDP got 1,025, 713 votes. Before the supplementary election the PDP were leading APC with over twenty thousand votes. The PDP have rejected the outcome of the election because of the violence. Before the collation the PDP said there was no election and there was no results to be counted.
