Seyi Tinubu’s state visit to some Northern Nigerian states has got people talking. What is it about? Is it part of the 2027 campaign launched by some party members and bigwigs recently seeking re-election for the president? Who is bankrolling Seyi Tinubu’s trips. Is it the federal government? Do we now have the office of the first son as people are describing the president’s son? Are these visits not supposed to be done by the Vice President? What is the Vice President’s job nowadays anyway? Questions after questions.

There is speculation of a fallout between Vice President Kashim Shettima and P3resident Bola Ahmed Tinubu. There has been rumours that President Tinubu is plotting to replace Kashim Shettima with a Christian president from the north, and former speaker of the house, Hon. Yakubu Dogara’s name has been coming up.

What gave this rumour credence is that attack on the president by Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, and Senator Ndume from Borno State, over the tax bill. It looked almost personal. The two are from the state from with the Vice President. In fact, shortly after that attack, Governor Zulum was in Mecca with the Vice President. Was the Vice President not confortable with Tinubu’s tax bill? Reliable tight source from the Vice President’s team informed NEWISSUES the Vice President was not aware of the tax bill until it was presented to the National Assembly. Was that why the Vice President’s men, Governor Zulum and Senator Ndume, were attacking the President’s tax bill?
Seyi Tinubu’s new wave of campaign travelling around the country has made people start asking what is the Vice President’s job. It looks like the son of the president has taken over the Vice President’s job.
