NEWISSUES Man of the year is no one but Verydarkblackman, aka Martin Otse. Mr. Otse who admitted he was a male prostitute before gaining popularity on social media attacking the bleaching industry and other fake products has risen from just that to one of the most recognised social media influencers in the land and one of the biggest celebrities in Nigeria and Africa, south of the Sahara.

He portrayed himself as a poor ghetto man who had to do whatever to survive when his nude video suddenly appeared on social media. The Verydarkblackman admitted giving a man a hand job for money. He also admitted surviving sleeping with rich married or unmarried women for money.
Today, he has transformed from a man just fighting the bleaching cream industry, Nollywood celebrities, to one of the biggest human rights activists in Nigeria admired by millions, worshipped by hundreds of millions, detested by hundreds of millions more.
The Verydarkblackman is a typical example of what is known as social media influencer. A very talented young man who came from nothing suddenly talk his way into becoming one of the most powerful young man in the country.
When he opened his Non Governmental Organisation (NGO), Don Jazzy, the music mogul, donated N100m to him the same day. Yes, you heard it alright, one hundred million naira. He is friends to the biggest of celebrities like Africa's most feared and respected striker, Victor Osimhen, one of Africa's richest and most richest artist, Davido, and one of the most trusted people by the people. Millions reach out to him for help, people who do not trust Nigerian law enforcement agencies and Nigeria's institutions, and he has done the unimaginable, solved problems that wouldn't have been solved.
