Mr. Eeben Barlow, South African military contractor, who’s company was sub-contracted to find the Chibok girls by the Goodluck Jonathan government, has told Aljazeera that the United States of America financed President Muhammadu Buhari’s election. He was being interviewed by Talk to Aljazeera.
Mr. Barlow said it was the United States that asked for their contract to be terminated in the fight against Boko Haram. He said he company was initially contracted to find the Chibok girls but all that changed when Boko Haram attacked Maiduguri and the government asked them to go and defend Maiduguri. NEWISSUES can authoritatively tell you that it was the period where the election was postponed in Nigeria so that the government can tackle Boko Haram.
Some Nigerians, especially supporters of Goodluck Jonathan, have always blamed Barack Obama, former US President for bringing Buhari to power. With what Mr. Barlow is saying, some of these Goodluck Jonathan supporters may not be far away from the truth.
