Pastor Enoch Adeboye apologises over his teaching on tithe

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has apologised over one of his preachings where he claimed those who don’t pay tithe would not make heaven.

The video had gone viral on social media with Nigerians sharing and ridiculing the elderly pastor. Many young Nigerians shared the video lambasting the pasture and blaming churches for extorting their members.

Pastor Adeboye finally apologised. Sources say the video that resulted to the controversy was an old video. When some lauded him for humbling himself to apolgise, others are saying that type preaching has resulted to exploitation of their members, and still continues. Tithe is a very divisive subject in Nigeria.
