the best nollywood movie ever made

The first Nigerian movie I have watched in Cinema was Steve Gukas 93 Days when it was premiered at Silver Bird Cinema, Abuja. Dimbo Atiya who is a movie maker, director, scritwriter and producer of The Sons of Caliphate, invited me to the premier. He paid for my ticket and that of two of my friends who.gate crashed into the event.

Steve Gukas was simply wearing a t-shirt and short. Many people didn't pay him much attention. I didn't. I went there to meet Dimbo Atiya, the first and only time we met, I was hunting for a story for NEWISSUES.

After the movie, the hall bursted into an ovation with those who attended the premier clapping. I was not only impressed but thrilled. Steve Gukas told the story like a director in Hollywood. This is not your usual Nollywood movie. Steve Gukas knows this business more than anyone. The Kunle Afolanya of this world are not close to Steve Gukas. In fact, Gukas should be in Hollywood.

I confidently told my friend who was residing in Kano about 93 Days. He went to watch the film in cinema and called me afterwards to confirm that this is a unique movie.

93 Days tells the story of the Liberian man who sneaked into Nigeria during the Ebola crisis, and how the Nigerian government ensured the epidemic does not spread, what they did to stop the epidemic, the heroes and heroine who sacrificed their lives to save the nation.
